If your ideal bike could cover all riding styles, the Hightower would be it for you. Featuring the "lower-link" rear shock suspension, refined and with adjustable geometry, it combines some of our greatest design achievements in one trail companion.

The best of everything

Hightower has been a versatile trail bike from the start. More agile than its bigger brother, Megatower, and more suited to steep terrain than its cousin Tallboy. Hightower shines when trails cover everything from technical to flowing sections and climbing.

VPP rear shock suspension design creates an almost linear leverage curve, meaning it soaks up impacts of all sizes while maintaining the kind of progressivity usually reserved for our V10 DH bike!

140mm of rear travel paired with 150mm up front gives Hightower just a bit more suspension than the original generation. Combined with the slacker 65-degree head angle, Hightower still sits in the sweet spot. But with a touch more capability when things get "oh no, it won't work" steep!

Balancing stiffness and weight at all the right places is the hallmark of every Santa Cruz frame, and Hightower flies that flag even higher. The advanced composite chassis handles all kinds of terrain, holds your line, and responds to rider input while isolating pedal power.

Easy adjustment

Hightower also includes a feature to change your bike experience - the "flip chip". Set to "high" increases BB height for those slightly more technical trails (or when you run the bike with 27.5+ wheels).

In "low" setting, the rear shock becomes more progressive and gives you extra reserve before it reaches end stroke. No matter what your mood, Hightower can be adjusted to match your individual preference.

Refinement and usability

And speaking of preference, there's plenty of room in the frame for a water bottle and threaded BB for convenience. It features optimised cable routing for better shifting efficiency, easier maintenance, and no rub in the frame. Plus, the frame is well protected at the most exposed points (chainstay rub, under the cranks, the rear shock has a mud guard, and the downtube for "shuttle".
