Both sides feature zippers that function as ventilation when opened, making long uphill climbs easier when the warm sun heats you, as you'll increase the breathability of the pants. On the lower inner side of the pants is a built-in gaiter that prevents snow from entering your pants and ski touring boots. The gaiter is adjustable in circumference to fit all types of touring boots.
