The completely new MegaTower mountain bike model is a fusion of large 29" wheels and a powerful 160 mm suspension system. This is a mega beast, suited both for serious enduro racers and for more demanding riders who want to tackle the trails on their home turf. With its Hightower roots and added VPP suspension with a lower link derived from the DH-specific V10, the MegaTower is the most modern 29er bike in the Santa Cruz family.

Suspension adjustment

The frame has enough progressivity built in to allow you to experiment with different shock options. If you prefer the softness and responsiveness of a classic coil shock in the frame, there is enough support for the end of the travel. Conversely, you can also install an air shock and gain liveliness in the bike.

Want a longer chainstay:

Simply swap the dropouts, rear brake adapter and adjust the suspension settings to gain 10 mm on the chainstay. Also, the MegaTower allows two geometry settings - with a slacker angle you gain on wheelbase, lower the bottom bracket and slightly increase rear suspension progressivity.

Complete controllability

But the MegaTower is not just aggressively uncompromising. It was built with a great deal of common sense. A 76-degree seat tube angle gives you good support during climbing, a roomy cockpit and a 65-degree fork angle makes descents easier. Inside the frame there is enough space for a water bottle so you can stay hydrated even on longer bike rides.

At the same time, the rear shock is also well protected by a mudguard. The frame is dressed in protection on the lower tube for transport and a lower guard for protection against rocks. A ribbed rubber chainstay protector ensures quiet operation.
