Until now, you've never worn a windproof jacket for bad, wet weather that stayed dry in good conditions, because it got wet too quickly and was sticky and breathed poorly. You've also never worn a windproof jacket for dry weather that actually kept you dry when it rained outside, because it soaked through and so did you. But times are changing. Castelli has created the Alpha RoS cycling jacket that successfully overcomes all the problems mentioned above, and with its Alpha construction combines two different functional layers.

For the Alpha jacket design, they used stretchy Windstopper 150 material, which is water-resistant and offers excellent protection against wind, with a water-repellent coating added for good measure. The material's composition also ensures a high level of breathability, so you won't overheat during efforts. Ventilation was optimized using an innovative dual-zip system on the front. When climbing gets too hot during rides, simply open the front zip and let cool air in to cool you down, while the rest of your torso stays warm. The shaping of the hem and sleeves was designed to ensure the jacket stays in place even while riding. This prevents cold air from finding its way to your torso while improving aerodynamics.
