The all-new MegaTower mountain bike model is a fusion of large 29" wheels and a capable 160mm suspension system. This is a mega-beast, suitable for serious enduro racers and demanding riders who want to conquer the trails in their backyard. With its Hightower roots and added VPP suspension with lower link derived from the DH special V10, the MegaTower is Santa Cruz's most modern 29er bike.

Suspension Tuning

The frame has enough built-in progressivity that you can play around with shock swaps. If you like the softness and responsiveness of a coil shock, the frame has enough support for the end stroke. Conversely, you can also fit an air shock and gain liveliness in the bike.

Want a Longer Chainstay:

Simply swap the dropouts, rear brake adapter and adjust the suspension settings to gain 10mm on the chainstay. The MegaTower also offers two geometry settings - with a slacker angle you gain on wheelbase, lower the bottom bracket and slightly increase the rear suspension progressivity.

Complete Rideability

But MegaTower is not just an aggressive no-compromise bike. It was built with a lot of good sense. A 76-degree seat tube angle gives you good support for climbing, a roomy cockpit and a 65-degree fork angle make descents easier. Inside the frame there is enough space for a water bottle so you can stay hydrated on longer rides.

Meanwhile, the rear shock is well protected by a mudguard. The frame is covered with protection on the down tube for carrying and lower skids for protection from rocks. A ribbed rubber chain guard also ensures quiet operation.
