The completely new Santa Cruz MegaTower mountain bike is a fusion of large 29" wheels and a powerful 160mm suspension system. This is a mega beast, equally suited for serious enduro racers and demanding riders who want to conquer trails in their local area. With its Hightower roots and added VPP suspension with a lower linkage derived from the DH speciality V10, the MegaTower is Santa Cruz's most advanced 29er bike.

Suspension Tuning

The frame has enough built-in progressivity that you can play with swapping shocks. If you prefer the soft, responsive feel of a coil spring shock, the frame provides enough support for the end stroke. Alternatively, you can fit an air spring and gain more liveliness from the bike.

Want a Longer Rear End:

Simply swap the dropouts, brake adapter and adjust the suspension setting to gain 10mm on the chainstay. The MegaTower also offers two geometry settings - at the slacker angle you gain reach, lower the bottom bracket and slightly increase rear suspension progressivity.

Complete Control

But the MegaTower isn't just aggressive and uncompromising. It was built with plenty of common sense. A 76-degree seat tube angle gives you excellent support during climbing, a roomy cockpit, and a 65-degree fork angle makes descents easier. Inside the frame there's room for a water bottle so you can stay hydrated on longer rides.

The rear shock is also well protected by a mudguard. The frame is covered with protection on the down tube for transport and a lower skid plate for protection against rocks. A textured rubber chainstay guard ensures quiet operation.
