The all-new Santa Cruz MegaTower mountain bike is a fusion of large 29" wheels and powerful 160 mm suspension. This is a mega-machine, perfect for serious enduro racers as well as demanding riders who want to tackle trails on their home turf. With its Hightower roots and added VPP suspension with lower link technology from the DH-focused V10, the MegaTower is the most advanced 29er in the Santa Cruz lineup.
Suspension Tuning
The frame has enough built-in progressivity to play around with shock swaps. If you prefer the suppleness and responsiveness of a coil shock, the frame offers plenty of support throughout the travel. Conversely, you can install an air shock and gain more liveliness.
Want a longer reach:
Simply swap the dropouts, brake adapter, and adjust suspension settings to gain 10mm on the chainstay. The MegaTower also offers two geometry settings—in the slacker position you gain reach, lower the bottom bracket, and slightly increase rear suspension progressivity.
Complete Control
The MegaTower isn't just an aggressive, uncompromising machine. It was built with plenty of common sense. A 76-degree seat tube angle gives you solid support during climbing, a spacious cockpit, and a 65-degree fork angle make descents easier. The frame has ample room for a water bottle so you can stay hydrated on longer rides.
The rear shock is also well protected by a mudguard. The frame features lower tube protection for transport and lower shield protection against rocks. A ribbed rubber chain guard ensures quiet operation.
