To achieve the best combination of aerodynamics and low weight, Focus engineers examined every tube individually and optimized it in the wind tunnel. The result is a combination of aerodynamics and low weight in perfect proportion. High-quality, ultra-stiff carbon fiber on the Max frame achieves an impressive low weight of 890g (frame) and 360g aero fork.
Internal cable routing in the handlebar and stem, stiffness and compliance in just the right places, and the completely redesigned wireless Shimano Ultegra Di2 shifting system, which boasts even more precise wireless shifting, are certainly features of top-tier road bikes. From different materials to different fork design, every step was thoroughly tested to ensure optimal ride. The result is instant responsiveness and optimal power transfer. Izalco Max is equipped with disc brakes that offer excellent stopping power and modulation, work exceptionally well in wet weather, while their weight is a negligible compromise.
