Elan Ripstick Tour 88 Touring Skis

Elan brings a revolutionary innovation for 2023 that combines two Elan families: the touring classic Ibex with the legendary, capable and unbeatable Ripstick. In addition to combining the best characteristics of both, the standout feature is the low weight—the Ripstick Tour ski at 163 centimetres and 88 millimetres waist width weighs just 1,275 grams. Ripstick Tour is a versatile ski that, unlike the existing touring All Mountain Rocker profile, features an unbeatable Amphibio design. The inner side of the ski benefits from camber for precision and uncompromising edge grip, while rocker on the other side enhances enjoyment in fresh powder. The ski core features a light wooden core with a Carbon Rod running through its centre—a hollow carbon tube made from interlocking carbon fibres that provide stiffness and reliability to the Ripstick Tour. To achieve a higher level of performance, the ski is covered across its entire surface with Carbon Reinforcement—a reinforcement layer made of carbon fibres with a raised centre section to prevent snow buildup on the skis.

• Amphibio Profile: Elan's innovative system combining rocker and camber. Cambered profile on the inner side ensures precision, uncompromising edge grip and stability, while rocker on the other side forgives mistakes and enhances turn ease.
• Tubelite Woodcore: The core composite is a lightweight laminated wood core with an integrated hollow carbon tube running through the centre. The ski core delivers responsiveness, stiffness and low weight at the same time.
• Carbon Rod: A hollow carbon tube with a diameter of 5 millimetres running through the centre of the wood core. The result is stiffness and durability in the ski.
• Carbon Reinforcement: A reinforcement layer covering the entire ski. The raised centre section prevents snow buildup on the surface, ensuring ease during skiing and climbing.

Pomoca Climb 2.0 Touring Skins

Probably the most versatile touring skins from Swiss manufacturer Pomoca. If you're looking for the best compromise between grip, glide and durability, this model is probably your first choice!

Thanks to Pomoca Ever Dry 2.0 and Safer Skin Light technologies, the skins dry exceptionally quickly and prevent water from entering the layer intended for grip and adhesive. This will be especially valuable on warmer spring days when the snow is wetter, and thanks to these systems you won't have problems with the skins detaching due to water seeping between the ski and adhesive. Because of the Ever Dry 2.0 system, the skins are very quickly dry again and ready for your next adventure, which is a major advantage with daily use of skins or multi-day tours in the most remote mountains.

ATK C-Raider 12 Touring Bindings

While most people associate carbon with something light and fragile, ATK proves the opposite with the C-Raider 12 bindings. Through numerous innovations and development, carbon becomes synonymous with an almost indestructible material with a surprisingly low weight.

The new C-Raider 12 binding combines the existing Crest and R12 binding families in both performance and component design. The biggest innovation is in the innovative design of the front part (binding head) made with carbon inserts, which reduces weight from the existing 330 grams (on a comparable R12 model) to a surprising 305 grams! The heel part of the binding is designed following the mentioned R12; vertical release is enabled by the already proven precise Cam Release System, which in addition to reliable release in case of a fall, provides soft ski boot engagement thanks to the Rolling-In technology.

Technologies:

• Cam Release System®: Reigns supreme among ATK's patented systems. It describes the construction and capability of the heel part of the binding, which allows ski boot grip and release in case of a fall. A pre-tensioned spring pushes a special system against the heel pins that ensures precise release depending on your individually set value. The system's advantages show in uncompromising performance and stability of the ski boot under the greatest loads (compared to other systems) and the softest ski boot engagement. The system's operation is extremely precise and achieves surprisingly low weight for its functionality. Release value is adjustable (5-12).
• Elastic Response System®: A system that allows natural ski flex without unwanted release. The mentioned system consists of a spring placed in the rear part of the binding. After loading, the heel of the binding simply moves back to its original position.
• Rolling In System®: The already familiar material of the heel clamps—titanium—is at the end coated with a thin layer of hardened steel, which extends the life of the binding and protects against excessive wear. Ski boot engagement is further facilitated by rotating grooved pins in the heel U-system.
• Snow Pack Proof System®: A special shape of the front part of the binding prevents unwanted snow buildup under the spring and ensures easy engagement during skiing.
• Magneto Heel Flap System®: The design of the heel part of the binding allows for 5 different inclination angles and thanks to magnetic inserts, quick switching between them.
