The Elan Ibex 84 touring set comprises lightweight and versatile skis Elan Ibex 84 with an 84 mm underfoot width. The skis will perform excellently on climbs and reveal their true character on descents, including in fresh powder and hardpack. For optimal power transfer and ski control, we've added Marker Alpinist 8 touring bindings to the set, which will convince you with their simple operation and performance. The set also includes custom-made Pomoca Climb 2.0 touring skins with Pomoca Ever Dry 2.0 and Safer Skin Light technologies.

Elan Ibex 84 Touring Skis

A versatile touring ski that, thanks to internal carbon inserts, offers stiffness and reliability on technically demanding terrain and optimal flotation in fresh powder.

If the mountains are your second home and you love varied touring adventures, the Elan Ibex 84 is the right choice. Light wood construction, equipped with carbon insert technology called TubeLite, will provide responsiveness along with the right amount of reliability and stiffness on the most demanding terrain. Special attention was paid to the top surface shape to reduce weight, a form that prevents snow accumulation and contributes to flotation and ease of climbs. The Elan Ibex 84 touring skis are distinguished by the Amphibio profile, which with its internal camber delivers grip and uncompromising stability, while the rocker on the outer edge facilitates turning. The perfect pair of skis for skiers who want light ascents and versatile descents.

Technologies:

• Bridge Technology brings reduced weight, and the special ski shape prevents snow from sticking to the top layer.
• All Mountain Rocker, a mild rocker profile on the tip and tail of the ski for better glide, easier turn entry and versatility in various conditions. Combined with a moderate amount of camber profile underfoot, the Mountain Rocker also provides excellent precision and stability on groomed slopes.
• TubeLite Construction was created by Elan by inserting two extremely light carbon tubes into a laminated wood core. The tubes have a diameter of 5 mm, are hollow, run the full length of the ski and follow the side cut.
• TubeLite Technology improves skiing by reducing weight, increasing torsional stiffness and improving power transfer to the ski edge.
• SST Construction features a wood core running the full length of the ski, shaped specifically for each model and length. Combined with the ABS sidewall, this structure enables direct power transfer to the edges for better control and stability at all speeds and ensures better acceleration out of turns.
• Extremely light VaporTip inserts on the ski tip and tail, made from advanced composite materials. Their purpose is to reduce vibration during skiing, improve ski stability at high speeds and provide a more comfortable ride, even in the most demanding conditions.

Pomoca Climb 2.0 Touring Skins

Probably the most versatile touring skins from Swiss manufacturer Pomoca. If you're looking for the best compromise between grip, glide and skin durability, this model is probably your first choice!

Thanks to Pomoca Ever Dry 2.0 and Safer Skin Light technologies, the skins dry extremely quickly and don't allow water to pass through the layer intended for grip and adhesive. This will be especially useful on warmer spring days when snow is wetter, and thanks to these systems you won't have problems with skins peeling off due to water seeping between the ski and adhesive. With the Ever Dry 2.0 system, the skins dry very quickly and are ready for your next adventure, which is a major advantage with daily skin use or multi-day tours in the most remote mountains.

Marker Alpinist 8 Touring Bindings

Whether you're a classic touring skier or a demanding alpinist – the Marker Alpinist touring bindings will reliably and lightly follow you on all paths without compromise. The aluminium base in the binding head is complemented by carbon fibre reinforcement, which ensures complete rigidity during more aggressive skiing. Because skis flex convexly against the snow under load, the Marker Alpinist bindings feature Active Length Compensation technology, which allows the binding to move during compression in turns and consequently prevents unwanted release. The front part of the binding is covered with an elastomer layer for protection against mechanical damage and to make stepping in easier, complemented by an Anti-Ice system that prevents snow from sticking around the pins. The otherwise minimally constructed heel binding offers 3 walk angles and easy cover switching using a ski pole.
