Hoka Challenger ATR (ATR – “all terrain”) is a more “racing-oriented” version of the Hoka running shoes, designed for running in nature across diverse terrain – from paved roads to gravel and forest trails. Now in its seventh generation, it further reinforces its reputation as an outstanding all-round running shoe. The midsole geometry allows it to be fast and light on forest trails while remaining stable and highly comfortable on the road. Completely redesigned from the outsole to the upper, the Challenger ATR 7 features a simplified mesh for maximum breathability. To perform perfectly even on wet days, the Challenger ATR 7 is equipped with a water-repellent GORE-TEX INVISIBLE FIT membrane made from recycled materials. The midsole is crafted from a new, pleasantly soft foam. For even greater comfort, the entire shoe has been raised by 2 mm. The outsole is made from durable Durabrasion rubber that performs well on asphalt, but even better off-road. The redesigned Challenger 7 outsole takes your running experience to the next level.

A key feature of Hoka running shoes is their meta-rocker midsole geometry, designed to promote a smoother energy transfer from heel to toe. This unique shape, with a smaller heel-to-toe drop, creates a distinctive fulcrum effect – like a rocking chair – reducing energy loss and helping you run longer with less effort.
