The all-new Santa Cruz Tallboy, with 130 mm of travel, sits at the top of the "short-travel" mountain bike category of the modern era.
Tallboy has always been a versatile trail bike. More nimble than its bigger brother, Hightower, and better suited to steep terrain than its cousin Blur. Tallboy shines when trails cover everything from technical to flowing terrain and climbing. The VPP rear shock mounting creates an almost linear leverage curve, meaning it soaks up impacts of all sizes and maintains the kind of progressivity that is usually reserved for our bike V10 DH!
Refinement and Usability
And when it comes to finishing touches, the frame itself has plenty of room for a water bottle and threaded bottom bracket for convenience. Cable routing is refined for better shifting efficiency, easier maintenance, and no rubbing on the frame. Plus, the frame is well protected in the most exposed areas (chain slap, under the drivetrain, rear shock has mudguard coverage, and lower tube for shuttle transport).
