Heading to the 2026 European Road Cycling Championships with your motorhome?
Park at Šport 11 in Kranj
Between October 2nd and 7th, 2026, Slovenia will host one of the biggest cycling events – the 2026 UEC European Road Cycling Championships.
If you're heading to the championships with your motorhome, Šport 11 in Kranj offers you a convenient base for following the races and spending a few days visiting the Gorenjska region.
During the championships, a limited number of motorhome spots will be available next to our store at Šuceva ulica 21, 4000 Kranj.
Park your motorhome and head to the race by bike
Our location is ideal especially for visitors who want to leave their motorhome in one place and head to the championship route by bike.
From the parking area, you're approximately:
- 2 km from Kranj's old town center
- 6 km from Šenčur and the finish area
- 12 km from Možjanca, one of the championship's key climbs
This way you can avoid searching for parking and dealing with traffic closures directly along the route, and head straight to the main fan zones by bike.
Upon arrival, you'll also receive a Šport 11 welcome gift.
The number of spots is limited, so advance reservation is required.
2026 European Road Cycling Championships
Between October 2nd and 7th, Slovenia will host Europe's best road cyclists. The program includes 14 races, ranging from junior categories to elite, with more than 800 competitors from over 50 countries expected.
The routes connect Ljubljana, Škofja Loka, Kranj, Kamnik, and other locations, with the decisive part of the road races being the final circuit in Gorenjska, featuring the climb to Možjanca and the finish in the Šenčur area.
Watching the races along the route is free of charge.

Kranj – an excellent base for a cycling weekend
Kranj isn't just a convenient location for watching the championships. The historic town center sits on a rock above the Sava and Kokra canyons and offers numerous restaurants, cafes, shops, and attractions.
After the race, you can take a walk through the old town center, visit the Kokra canyon and the tunnels beneath old Kranj, or head out on your bike to explore the surrounding area.
Kranj lies at the foot of the Alps and is also an excellent starting point for cycling trips toward Brdo, Preddvor, Jezersko, Škofja Loka, and other Gorenjska destinations.
A bike shop right next to your motorhome
The parking area is located directly next to our specialized store, Šport 11.
If you don't bring your own bike to the championships, bike rental is also available. In the store, we can also help you with equipment, spare parts, accessories, or bike servicing.
