Touring skis Atomic Backland 100
Renovated, lightweight, wide, and powerful! That's the Atomic Backland 100 freeride ski. One of the most high-performance skis in the Backland series, it excels on solid and icy terrains, as well as in effortless turns through freshly fallen powder. The internal construction of the ski, known as Ultra Power Woodcore, combines laminates of robust beech wood and lightweight poplar. The Backland 100 freeride skis are equipped for uncompromising grip on icy surfaces with the Powder Rocker profile and enhanced maneuverability in all snow conditions through the damping system formed by the shape of the side edge, Dura Cap Sidewall. Thanks to the perfect balance between low weight and optimal stiffness, these skis perform well both during ascents and descents.
Features:
- Ultra Power Woodcore: The wooden core combines a blend of lightweight poplar laminate and high-performance beech. The result of this thoughtful mixture is a ski that delivers exceptional performance and strength despite its low weight.
- Dura Cap Sidewall: Sidewall from base to top sheet for great edge grip, with a rounded shape for increased durability.
- HRZN Tech Tip: The front part of the ski features a surface area expansion system that contributes to excellent floatation in all snow conditions by increasing the surface area by as much as 10%.
- Carbon Backbone: Ultra-lightweight carbon inserts running along the center of the entire length of the ski result in high stiffness, torsional stability, and edge grip without increasing weight.
- Directional Shape: The shape of the side edge enhances the contact surface between the ski edge and the surface, thereby improving the grip and stability of the ski.
- Glossy Topsheet: A glossy topsheet gives your ski a polished, glassy finish for a super-sleek high-end look.
- Powder Rocker (20/70/10): The curvature geometry, or camber profile, of the ski, with the Powder Rocker profile featuring slightly curved tips and tails, brings effortless maneuverability in freshly fallen snow and uncompromised floatation. Skis with this profile allow for easy, controlled turns.
