Wahoo TRACKR RADAR – bike radar and smart rear light
The Wahoo TRACKR RADAR is a bike radar with a built-in rear light, designed to give you better awareness of traffic behind you. It detects approaching vehicles at distances of up to 150 meters and sends real-time data to a compatible bike computer or sports watch.
Visual and audible alerts on the cyclist's connected device provide timely warnings of oncoming traffic without having to take your eyes off the road. Two powerful LED lights simultaneously improve the cyclist's visibility during the day, at night and in poor weather conditions.
Timely vehicle warnings
The radar monitors traffic behind the cyclist and detects vehicles approaching at higher speeds. The compatible device displays their position and approach, giving the cyclist better awareness of the situation and allowing for more timely adjustment of road position.
The TRACKR RADAR is especially useful on regional roads, longer road tours and sections with heavier traffic. The radar provides additional safety assistance, but does not replace a shoulder check and the usual traffic check before turning or changing direction.
Smart rear light with brake mode
Two LED lights provide strong rear illumination and good side visibility. You can choose between several steady and flashing modes and adjust the lighting to daytime, nighttime or traffic conditions.
The built-in accelerometer detects deceleration and increases brightness when braking, similar to a brake light on a vehicle. When the radar detects an approaching vehicle, the Quick Alert function can change the flash pattern to further alert the driver to the cyclist's presence.
Longer runtime with energy saving
Battery Extender mode automatically reduces brightness when the radar does not detect vehicles. When traffic approaches, the light again increases intensity or changes its operating pattern. This uses energy more efficiently and extends runtime on longer rides.
The rechargeable battery provides more than ten hours of runtime, with actual time depending on the selected lighting mode and use of smart functions. Charging is done via a modern USB-C connector.
Connecting with a bike computer
The TRACKR RADAR is compatible with all Wahoo ELEMNT bike computers and other devices that support the ANT+ Radar standard. These include numerous compatible computers and sports watches from Garmin, Hammerhead and other manufacturers.
The Wahoo app allows you to update the software, select lighting modes and enable the Brake Light, Quick Alert and Battery Extender functions. The phone app does not display warnings about approaching vehicles, so a compatible bike computer or sports watch is required to use radar alerts.
Secure mounting on various seatposts
The included mount comes with attachments for round, aero and D-shaped seatposts. The strap system allows for a secure fit, and the device can be quickly removed from the mount before charging or whenever you leave your bike unattended.
IPX7 waterproofing ensures reliable use in rain and wet conditions, making the radar suitable for year-round road, gravel and everyday cycling.
