If the word "carbon" brings to mind something light and fragile, ATK proves otherwise with the C-Raider 10 bindings. Through innovation and development, carbon has become synonymous with a nearly indestructible material that achieves impressively low weight.
The new C-Raider 10 bindings bridge the gap between the Crest and R12 families in terms of performance and component design. The standout feature is the innovative construction of the toe piece, which integrates carbon inserts. This reduces the weight from the 330 grams of comparable models (like the R12) to a remarkable 305 grams! The heel unit is modeled after the R12, incorporating the precise Cam Release System for reliable vertical release during falls. Thanks to the Rolling-In technology, the bindings also ensure a smooth boot insertion experience.
Technologies:
Cam Release System®: ATK's patented design at the heel ensures precise boot release based on individually set release values (5-12). This system enhances stability under high loads and provides a soft boot engagement. Despite its advanced functionality, it maintains an impressively low weight.
Elastic Response System®: This system allows the ski to flex naturally without unwanted boot release. A spring in the heel ensures that the binding returns to its original position after being compressed.
Rolling In System®: Titanium pins at the heel are coated with hardened steel to extend durability and reduce wear. The rotating components in the heel make boot engagement even easier.
Snow Pack Proof System®: The design of the toe piece prevents snow buildup under the spring, ensuring smooth engagement.
Magneto Heel Flap System®: The heel construction offers five climbing positions with quick adjustments thanks to magnetic inserts.
