The Backland touring skis feature a light core made from a combination of Caruba and Poplar wood. The sidewall construction of the touring skis, called Cap Sidewall, enables optimal absorption of unwanted vibrations and ensures grip on various surfaces. The top surface is glossy, which prevents snow buildup on the skis and adds to their lightness. The Atomic Backland touring skis are completed by an All Mountain Rocker profile, which improves float in powder and contributes to stability on icy surfaces. The Atomic Backland touring skis are also distinguished by an impressive flex, achieved at Atomic through carbon inserts that run the full length of the ski.
