Introducing the »lower-link« suspension design for the rear shock, updated and with adjustable geometry, combines some of the greatest design achievements. The bike will definitely be your best partner on the trail.

A combination of everything

Hightower has been a versatile trail bike from the start. More nimble than its bigger brother, Megatower, and more suited to steep terrain than its cousin Tallboy. Hightower shines when trails cover everything from technical to flowing terrain and climbing uphill.

VPP rear shock suspension creates an almost linear leverage curve, meaning it handles impacts of all sizes and maintains a kind of progressivity usually reserved for our bike V10 DH!

140 mm travel in the rear, complemented by 150 mm up front, gives Hightower just a little more suspension than the first generation model. Combined with the reduced 65-degree front fork angle, Hightower still sits in the sweet spot. However, with a bit more margin when situations call for »oh no, this won't work«!

The balance of stiffness and controlled weight at all the right places is a hallmark of all carbon frames from Santa Cruz, but Hightower sails under an even higher flag. The advanced composite chassis handles all types of trails well, holds your line, and is responsive to rider input, while isolating pedaling power.

Easy adjustments

Hightower also features an addition to change the bike experience, the »flip chip«. In the »high« setting, the bottom bracket height is increased for those slightly more demanding technical trails (or when you swap the bike to 27.5+ wheels).

In the »low« setting, the rear shock is more progressive and gives you extra margin before it reaches the end of the travel. Regardless of your mood, Hightower can adjust to suit your individual preferences.

Refinement and practicality

And when it comes to taste, there's plenty of space in the frame itself for a water bottle and threaded bottom bracket for convenience. It's finished with clean cable routing for better drivetrain efficiency, easier maintenance, and no rubbing in the frame. Plus, the frame is well protected in the most exposed areas (chain slap, under the crankset, the rear shock has a guard, and the down tube for shuttle service).
