The best of everything

Hightower has always been a versatile trail bike. More nimble than its bigger brother, Megatower, and better suited to steep terrain than its cousin Tallboy. The Hightower mountain bike shines brightest when trails hit all the important marks: technical challenges, flowing sections, and climbing uphill.

VPP rear shock mounting creates an almost linear leverage curve, meaning it handles impacts of all sizes and maintains a progressivity usually reserved for our bike V10 DH!

140 mm rear travel paired with 150 mm up front gives Hightower just slightly more suspension than the first generation model. Combined with the relaxed 65-degree head angle, Hightower still sits in the sweet spot. But with a little extra cushion for those "oh no, this won't work" moments!

Balancing stiffness with weight savings in all the right places is a hallmark of all carbon frames from Santa Cruz. Hightower flies under an even higher flag. The advanced composite chassis handles all types of trails well, holds your line, and responds to your steering inputs while isolating power from the pedals.

Easy adjustment

Hightower also features a "flip chip" to adjust your bike experience. In the "high" position, bottom bracket height is increased for those more demanding technical trails (or when running 27.5+ wheels).

In "low" position, the rear shock becomes more progressive and gives you extra reserve before reaching full travel. No matter what mood you're in, Hightower can be adjusted to match your individual preferences.

Refinement and practicality

And when it comes to taste, there's plenty of room in the frame for a water bottle and threaded bottom bracket for convenience. Cable routing is refined for better shifting efficiency, easier maintenance, and no rubbing in the frame. Plus, the frame is well protected in the most exposed areas (chain rub, under the drivetrain, rear shock has a mudguard, and down tube for shuttle protection).
