The Best of Everything

Hightower has always been a versatile trail bike. More nimble than its bigger brother, Megatower, and more capable on climbs than its cousin Tallboy. Hightower shines when trails cover everything from technical terrain to flowing singletrack and steep uphills.

VPP rear suspension creates an nearly linear leverage curve, which means it absorbs hits of all sizes and maintains a kind of progressivity that is normally reserved for our bike V10 DH!

140mm of rear travel paired with 150mm up front gives Hightower just a bit more suspension than the first generation model. Combined with a slacker 65-degree head angle, Hightower still sits in the sweet spot. But with a touch more reserve for those »oh no, this won't work« moments!

Balancing stiffness and weight savings in all the right places is a hallmark of all carbon frames from Santa Cruz, and Hightower flies that flag even higher. The advanced composite chassis handles all types of trails well, holds your line and responds to rider input, while isolating pedal power.

Easy Adjustability

Hightower also features an addition to customize your bike experience, the »flip chip«. In »high« mode, the BB height is raised for those more demanding technical trails (or when you swap the bike to 27.5+ wheels).

In »low« mode, the rear shock is more progressive and gives you extra reserve before reaching full travel. No matter what your preference, Hightower can be adjusted to suit your individual taste.

Refinement and Function

And speaking of taste, there's plenty of room in the frame itself for a water bottle and threaded BB for convenience. Cable routing has been refined for better shifting efficiency, easier maintenance, and no rub on the frame. Plus, the frame is well protected in the most exposed areas (chain slap, under the crank, rear shock has a mudguard, and the downtube is ready for a »shuttle«.

Lifetime warranty on the frame, with bearing and carbon wheel replacements, ensures your Hightower will be a ripper for many years to come.
