The core of the Atomic Backland 95 touring skis is made from lightweight composites - a blend of Caruba and Poplar wood, which helps maintain the lightness needed for climbing. The sidewall construction of the Backland skis, called Cap Sidewall, will provide confidence and handling characteristics even when there's no powder. The top surface is very smooth, which prevents snow buildup and further reduces weight. Performance on hard surfaces and float in powder are enhanced by Atomic's All Mountain Rocker technology, which combines a Rocker profile in the tip with Camber in the middle and tail.

The set includes matching touring skins made from 70% mohair and 30% nylon, which provide optimal glide, grip during climbing, and excellent durability.
