Touring Skis Elan Ripstick 106 Black Edition

Touring Skis Elan Ripstick 106 Black Edition

The proven Ripstick 106 returns for the new season with numerous innovations that will enhance your riding experience in fresh powder, firm snow, and technically demanding terrain. The progressive shape of the Elan Ripstick skis is defined by the new Carbon Line technology, which reinforces the asymmetrical core above the inside edge with multiple carbon inserts for improved direct power transfer. Attention has also been paid to the external form of the skis, narrowing the tip shape to improve flotation and reduce unwanted vibrations. The tail of the Ripstick 106 skis uses less material than the previous model. The revised tail construction of the Ripstick skis enables easier turning control and the choice between light or aggressive turn completion. To further reduce vibrations caused by changing snow conditions, the skis are fitted with VaporTip inserts, which also ensure stability at higher speeds. A solid wood core running the full length is complemented by lightweight hollow carbon tubes that follow the curve and maintain light weight and torsional stability. An excellent choice for all freeride enthusiasts seeking reliability, agility, and uncompromising flotation!

Technologies

• Amphibio Profile: Elan's innovative system combining rocker and camber. Pre-tensioned camber profile on the inside ensures precision, uncompromising edge grip and stability, while rocker on the other side forgives errors and aids turning ease.
• Tubelite Construction: The ski's base consists of a lightweight laminated wood core, complemented along its full length by two longitudinal hollow tubes made from carbon fibers. The result is responsiveness, stability, and reduced core weight without compromising ride quality.
• SST Construction: The side edge, called SST, ensures fast, agile and direct power transfer from ski to snow, improving performance.
• Amphibio Carbon Line: An asymmetrically formed core that positions carbon fibers at the height of the inside edge, improving direct power transfer.
• VaporTip Reinforcement: Composite inserts placed in the ski core at the tip and tail help reduce weight and unwanted vibrations from the base, ensuring stable riding and smooth turns in the most challenging conditions.
• Fiberglass Reinforcement: Internal reinforcements made from fiberglass significantly improve torsional stability of the skis and optimize flex.
• Geometry (180 cm): 143 - 106 - 120
• Radius: 18.1 m
