The Backland touring skis feature a light core made from a combination of Caruba and Poplar wood. The sidewall construction of the touring skis, called Cap Sidewall, provides optimal vibration dampening and ensures grip on varied terrain. The top surface is smooth, preventing snow buildup on the skis for added lightness. The skis are completed with an All Mountain Rocker profile that enhances flotation in powder and contributes to stability on icy surfaces. The Atomic Backland touring skis are distinguished by enviable stiffness, which Atomic achieved using carbon inserts that run the full length of the ski.
