Hoka One One Challenger ATR (ATR - 'all terrain') is the more race-oriented version of Hoka One One shoes, designed for running in nature on diverse terrains (paved roads, gravel, forest trails). In its sixth iteration, it further solidifies its reputation as an excellent all-around running shoe. Its midsole geometry allows it to be fast and lightweight on forest trails while remaining smooth and highly comfortable on the road. The outsole is equipped with 4mm rubber lugs but still indicates its roots in trail running. The dynamically designed Challenger's characteristic outsole features zonal construction for better grip and reduced weight. It boasts wider, more closely spaced zone lugs, allowing for a more even transition from one surface to another. For the upper part of the shoe, environmentally friendly recycled materials Unifi REPREVE® are used, obtained from discarded plastic bottles.

The hallmark of Hoka running shoes is their meta-rocker midsole geometry, designed to facilitate a smoother energy transfer from heel to toe. The unique shape with a smaller heel-to-toe drop enables a unique fulcrum effect, acting like a rocking chair, reducing energy loss and consequently enhancing the joy of running. The Challenger ATR 6 is a running shoe for all types of terrain, not just looking fast but actually being fast. The shoe is suitable for those with a neutral foot or are supinators.
