Hoka Challenger ATR 6 GTX (ATR- 'all terrain') is the more 'racing' version of Hoka running shoes, designed for trail running on diverse terrain (paved surfaces, gravel, forest trails). In its sixth iteration, it continues to strengthen its reputation as an excellent all-around trail running shoe. Its midsole geometry allows it to be fast and light on forest trails and even, very comfortable on the road. The outsole is equipped with 4 mm rubber studs and makes it clear that its origins are in trail running. The Challenger's dynamically designed signature outsole features a zoned construction – for better grip and lower weight. It boasts wider, more closely spaced lugs, allowing for smoother transitions between different surfaces. The upper is made from environmentally friendly recycled Unifi REPREVE® materials sourced from discarded plastic bottles. The GTX model features waterproof technology from the leading manufacturer GORE-TEX to keep your feet dry during wet adventures.

The specialty of Hoka running shoes is their meta-rocker midsole geometry, designed to enable smoother energy transfer from heel to toe. The unique shape with a smaller difference between heel and toe height enables a unique fulcrum effect, which works like a rocking chair, allowing you to lose less energy and consequently enjoy longer runs. The Challenger ATR 6 is a trail running shoe for all types of terrain that not only looks fast, but is fast. The shoe is suitable for those with neutral feet or supinators.
