Breathable, waterproof clothing can become damp inside due to perspiration when used in harsh conditions. If the outer fabric absorbs water, the garment can lose a significant portion of its breathability. This is why maintaining the durable water repellency (DWR) of technical clothing is essential to keeping the wearer protected from the elements.

Over time, regular use and washing can wear down the DWR coating applied to technical garments during manufacturing. To keep all waterproof garments performing at their best, Muc-Off Wash-In Rain Shield Re-Proofer is designed to restore the DWR coating on technical clothing, ensuring you're ready for any weather on your next ride. Machine washing ensures that the waterproofing treatment penetrates the fabric, treating seams, components, and especially the outer layer of the garment.

Instructions for Use:

1. For best results, we recommend pre-cleaning your technical garments with Muc-Off’s technical fabric cleaner.
2. Shake the bottle well to activate the formula.
3. For optimal results, wash garments separately.
4. Use 20 x 5ml capfuls for larger items or two smaller pieces. Use 5 capfuls for hand washing.
5. Pour the product directly into the detergent compartment of your washing machine.
6. Wash at 30°C, following the garment’s care label instructions.
7. After washing, air-dry by hanging the garment overnight before wearing it in wet conditions. Alternatively, tumble dry if the care label permits.
