In addition to thorough updates and new routes, important enhancements to the guide include descriptions of more challenging alpine descents contributed by Marko Kern.
Along with all the major ski touring areas in Slovenia, the guide also features the most beautiful ski tours in the Italian Western Julian Alps and the Austrian regions of Carinthia, Styria, Salzburg and East Tyrol. The author's aim was to present the most interesting ski tours within a 250 km radius, or 3 hours' drive from central Slovenia. The tours are typically achievable in a single day, except for ski tours with significant elevation gain.
Most of the described tours are moderately challenging, some are easy and suitable for beginners, while the most difficult tours and variants are serious alpine descents, suitable only for the most experienced skiers.
