Atomic Backland Pro – lightweight men's touring ski boots
Atomic Backland Pro are lightweight and versatile men's touring ski boots for skiers who want efficient movement on the ascent, a precise fit, and reliable support on the descent. With a flex of 100, they offer a slightly softer and more comfortable feel than the Backland Carbon model, while still maintaining enough stability for confident skiing in various conditions.
The low weight and exceptional 74-degree cuff range of motion reduce resistance while walking and allow for a natural and long stride. This makes the boots suitable for classic ski tours, long ascents, and all-day exploration of mountain terrain.
74° range of motion for efficient ascents
The Frictionless Pivot system uses polymer bushings that allow smooth and natural cuff movement. The large range of motion reduces ankle restriction and enables a more efficient stride on steep climbs, gentler approaches, and longer traverses. The Free/Lock 4.0 mechanism allows switching between walk and ski mode. It is designed for reliable locking on the descent, and its open construction makes it easier to remove snow and ice.
Narrow and precise 98-millimeter last
The 98 mm Touring Last is designed for narrower feet and skiers who want a tighter and more direct fit. The low-profile design helps stabilize the foot and improves the transfer of movement to the ski.
Memory Fit technology allows for heat molding of the shell and cuff to the individual shape of the foot and lower leg. For the best result, we recommend professional fitting as part of a bootfitting session.
Cross Lace 2.0 for even forefoot hold
The Cross Lace 2.0 closure system connects the lower buckle with a cable that wraps around the forefoot in a Z shape. This creates a more even hold, helps stabilize the heel, and allows precise control without the use of multiple buckles.
Aluminum 7000-series buckles provide low weight and durability, while the 30-millimeter Velcro strap stabilizes the upper part of the cuff when skiing downhill.
Prolite construction for low weight and support
The Prolite construction uses a thinner and lighter base shell that is additionally reinforced at key points. This reduces the weight of the boot without sacrificing the support needed for controlled skiing.
The heat-moldable liner has an anatomically shaped ankle and heel area for a more precise fit. The breathable construction with a waterproof membrane helps maintain a comfortable environment, and the liner can be hand-washed and dries quickly.
Skywalk sole for more natural walking
The lightweight rubber Skywalk sole has a more pronounced curved shape, allowing for a more natural stride while walking. The grippy rubber improves traction on snow and rocky sections, while the metal tech inserts ensure a precise connection with compatible pin touring bindings.

Who are they for?
Atomic Backland Pro is designed for touring skiers with narrower feet who are looking for a lightweight boot for long ascents and all-day tours. The flex 100 is suitable for skiers who want a more comfortable and less aggressive feel, while still needing precise control and reliable support on the descent.
