Atomic Backland Pro is considered an upgrade from the Expert model and thus represents the answer to the demands of more experienced skiers. The construction of the boot is made using Prolite technology, which reinforces the minimal shell design only in the most stressed areas, which is the opposite of conventional shell manufacturing. The shell is made of strong and durable Grilamid plastic blend according to the True Flex system, which ensures that the plastic's characteristics do not change with temperature variations. To come as close as possible to the natural walking motion, Backland Pro is complemented on the sides by Frictionless Pivot technology with a 74-degree range of motion. The internal thermoformable Memory Fit Platinum Light liner enables perfect fit through thermal treatment and thanks to Dynashape foam, maintains the desired shapes. With a flex index of 100, an innovative and reliable Boa Fit System for size adjustment, and the Free Lock 4.0 system for switching between skiing and walking mode, the Backland Pro will perform excellently even when skiing in demanding terrain.

• Prolite Construction: An innovative way of building touring boots that begins the shell shape with minimal weight and volume and reinforces it only in the most stressed areas. Conventional weight reduction of the shell usually works in the opposite direction (from maximum volume to minimum thickness).
• Energy Backbone: An additional, asymmetrically formed reinforcement on the back of the touring boot provides a greater degree of performance and improves lateral transmission to the ground.
• Frictionless Pivot: A side screw made of flexible and durable polymer brings completely natural movement and thus facilitates ascending.
• Memory Fit Platinum Light: The inner boot of the touring boot consists of an inner liner that, compared to other models, enables thermoformable adjustment in the heel area, the side of the foot, and the tongue.
• Boa Fit System: The front, lower part of the boot will bring a perfect, millimeter-precise fit with the integrated BOA tightening system through simple turns of a round button on the instep.

• True Flex: It is occasionally overlooked that the shell of touring boots softens at higher temperatures and hardens completely at lower temperatures. The True Flex system describes the composition of plastic resistant to temperature changes – the boot thus has the same characteristics in varying conditions as it did when being fitted in the store.
• Memory Fit 3D: The inner boot of the touring boot is made according to the Memory Fit 3D system, which describes pre-shaped thermoformable foam that reduces the possibility of discomfort from first use. In places, the foam areas are replaced by Dynashape material, whose ability is to continuously adapt to the foot while wearing the touring boot. Depending on the version of the inner liner, Dynashape appears: Silver (in the heel area), Gold (heel area and side of the foot) and Platinum. For the best fit, the inner liner assumes the forms of the user's foot and leg through thermal treatment. For thermal regulation of the inner boot, 3M^TM Thinsulate insulating fill provides thermoregulation, which uses finer fibers to retain as much warm air as possible in the core, even if the boot gets wet.
