While most people think of carbon as something light and fragile, ATK proves the opposite with the C-Raider 12 bindings. Through numerous innovations and development, carbon becomes synonymous with an almost indestructible material that achieves a surprisingly low weight.

The new C-Raider 12 bindings combine the existing Crest and R12 binding families in both performance and component design. The biggest innovation lies in the innovative design of the toe piece, which features carbon inserts, reducing weight from the previous 330 grams (on the comparable R12 model) to a surprising 305 grams! The heel piece of the binding is constructed following the R12 design; vertical release is enabled by the proven and precise Cam Release System, which besides reliable release in case of a fall also provides, thanks to Rolling-In technology, smooth engagement of the touring boot.

Technologies:

• Cam Release System®: reigns among ATK's patented systems. It describes the design and performance of the heel piece, enabling grip and release in case of a fall. A preloaded spring pushes a special system against the heel pins, ensuring precise release depending on the individually adjusted value. The system's advantages show in uncompromising performance and stability of the touring boot under the highest loads (compared to other systems) and the smoothest boot engagement. The system operates with exceptional precision and achieves a surprisingly low weight relative to its functionality. Release value is adjustable (5-12).
• Elastic Response System®: a system that enables natural ski flex without unwanted release. The system consists of a spring mounted in the rear of the binding. After loading, the heel simply returns to its original position.
• Rolling In System®: the already familiar material of the heel lifts—titanium—is coated at the end with a thin layer of hardened steel, which extends the binding's lifespan and protects against excessive wear. Boot engagement is further facilitated by rotating slot rods of the heel U-system.
• Snow Pack Proof System®: the special shape of the toe piece prevents unwanted snow buildup under the spring, ensuring smooth engagement.
• Magneto Heel Flap System®: the heel piece design enables 5 different inclination angles and, thanks to magnetic inserts, allows rapid switching between them.
